SOOO Over Sweaters!

Is anyone but me sick and FRICKIN' tired of looking for plus sized crochet patterns (free or otherwise,) only to find sweaters, sweaters, and oh yes, MORE SWEATERS! Do they think we just walk around naked except for a fab sweater?! How about some shirt, skirt, dress, shorts and gasp, swimsuit patterns?! -mutters about having to do everything herself- If I see one more sweater pattern, I'll scream. Really. Cover your ears.
I'm going to start a new blog. It will be irreverent, beautiful, helpful, and dare I say, sixteen kinds of awesome. At least once a month (sometimes more often,) I'll be posting free, original, plus sized crochet patterns that are NOT just sweaters. The patterns are going to:
  • Be season appropriate
  • Be body type conscious
  • Varied from beginner through advanced level
  • Offer suggestions for personalization (so we're not all walking around wearing the same clothes!) and
  • Be digital, in downloadable PDF format.
There will be a donation button, for those who'd like to help contribute to my yarn stash, the better to bring you new patterns! At the end of each year, I'll compile the patterns in a limited edition hard copy book that will be available for purchase, with half my personal profit going to support Doctors Without Borders. The book will include eight extra patterns (two per season) not available on the blog. When the books sell out, I will post the grand total of money donated, along with a special original amigurumi pattern that'll knock your socks off.

This blog will offer help for when you get stuck on an instruction, be updated with corrections if/when mistakes are found, and have general questions about my patterns. Fans can submit pattern ideas if the blog (and the rest of the freakin' world) doesn't have what they want or need. If their pattern idea is created and featured, they will be credited on the blog, the design will be named after them, and a $20 donation will be made to Doctors Without Borders. Why $20? Because I'm starting this blog in 2020.

Ha, you so totally thought I was never going to make another post here, didn't you? It turns out that I finally jumped on the Deviant bandwagon with several of my artistic peers. Ha, made a liar out of myself

When I commented in a friend's blog on this site, I said the longest I go without posting to my blog is two months. I failed to realize this was where his blog is, and on this site, I've only EVER made two posts. So here's the third, lol. I've said it all over the place, this isn't my main blog. You can find the link to it on my sidebar thing. Still figuring out the ins and outs of this site; I hate that there isn't universal code. I have been pretty busy lately working on some photomanipulations, uploading photos to my stock account, and finishing up some contest entries. I also have to sew some shirts to wear to work this week, our storytime theme is Multicultural, since Dia de los Niños is Sunday. My daughter's dance class will be performing again, and we just picked up a new cam corder, so we'll hopefully be able to record it.
